Ron DeHaas, co-founder, president, and CEO of Covenant Eyes, made an appearance on TCT Alive this week on the Total Christian Television Network. The program is seen throughout the United States and Canada.
Pastor David Longobardo hosted the half hour program dedicated entirely to how Covenant Eyes was started and how it helps people break free from pornography.
The conversation revealed how DeHaas’ entire family was taken away from him in a moment. In 1992, a tanker truck carrying kerosene rammed into the back of a vehicle occupied by DeHaas’ wife, daughter, and son. They were killed instantly.
Years later, DeHaas was blessed with another wife and children. Knowing the risks and dangers of the Internet, he wanted to protect his family and encourage Internet integrity. He used the money from the accident settlement and started Covenant Eyes in 2000.
Since that time, the company has grown from a handful of people to more than 150 employees in two locations.
“Whenever an individual or family is saved from the devastating effects of pornography through Covenant Eyes, it’s a tribute to my wife and children who are no longer with me. Their legacy lives on through this work of love,” said Ron DeHaas.
The entire interview can be seen on the 1/28/17 edition of TCT Alive. It was recorded at the WLIX TCT studios in Greensboro, North Carolina.
