Message to Christian Husbands Who Watch Porn

Last Updated: April 2, 2024

Covenant Eyes Radio – Episode 51

[display_podcast]

Joe DallasThe following is part of a conversation I had with Joe Dallas, program director of Genesis Counseling. Joe speaks candidly about his experience counseling husbands who have given into the porn trap. He offers strong words of advice for the Christian man who wants to regain his wife’s trust.

Joe also talks some about the value of accountability software, how it helps a man break with old Internet-surfing habits and enter into healthy relationships that bring healing.

Joe is the author of The Game Plan: The Men’s 30-Day Strategy for Attaining Sexual Integrity. He is a pastoral counselor and an international speaker. For over three years Joe taught and conducted the nationally recognized Every Man’s Battle conferences, and he is now a regularly featured speaker with the Focus on the Family Love Won Out conference.

Music for today’s podcast is “Ordinary Day” by Phil Joel

Great interview and very true to my experience in finding freedom

  2. That’s not necessary, thanks. I merely wanted to make sure that we weren’t missing out on any more of the ‘good stuff’. I rather assumed that you did as you describe, so there’s no reason to go digging. If anything, I appreciate the brevity of the episodes because you don’t always have time to listen to a sermon-length message :) Thanks for the clarification though!

  3. I have a question. These podcasts are always described as ‘part’ of a conversation, which seems to imply that more was said during these CER episodes. Are the recordings done this way intentionally, or is there some method to access the full conversations?

    Thanks :)

    • By “part” of the conversation I mean some of the conversation was cut that didn’t pertain to the topic at hand for the podcast. This might include small-talk before and after the the topical conversation, or this might include material that I’ve isolated into another podcast because I feel it has stand-alone value. On occasion I cut parts out parts of the conversation based on limited time on the phone (thus, the interviewee didn’t have time to develop a thought to completion). I try to balance both brevity and richness of content. I might have some whole sound files stored away. Let me know which ones you might want, and I can look into getting you a raw, unedited file.

  4. Is just me? The last two podcasts don’t seem to be on iTunes.

    • @Peter – Sorry about that. Sometimes we’re not as quick on the draw with iTunes. We’ll get them up today, which means iTunes will display them within about 24 hours or so.
