I would give them to the parents of the kids that participate in the youth group I volunteer with. Twice a month another adult and I meet with just the high school boys. We discuss on a more personal level the things they struggle with. Pornography and masturbation are at the top of the list.
learn it and spread awareness about this awesome program in my family and friends
and help those get rid of this evil in their life and help young CHRISTIANS to acquire necessary skills to keep this evil away from their very lives and thus close to LORD GOD
I would give them to my sons and share with my parish as a youth minister we are always looking for resources to help our young men grow into men of Christ.
Happy feast day of the chaste husband of Mary. I´m very excited at this exercise. If I won the collection, I would give selections to a Legion of Mary Library at a Parish in the University town of Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria, where i previously worked Nigeria; I would give a selection to my brother who works with youths at Abuja the capital of Nigeria and another to another brother often sought after for retreats and talk (The last literally seized my copy of Jason Evert´s ‘If You Really Loved Me’). I bought another copy of the same book and ‘How to Find Your Soul Mate Without Losing Your Soul’, for a friend. Later I bought another copy of ‘If You Really Loved Me’ for keeps but again it got seized by another brother. I’ve been looking these books which seem out of stock in Nigeria, ever since, especially for the said Legion of Mary Library. You remain constantly in my really. I love you dearly, Jo.
Hi,great idea in the feast of Saint Joseph to help protect the innocence of children.
I live in Colombia, South America I have two kids, first of all I would protect my kids and their cousins.
My daughter with some friends have a Rosary where the kids pray the sorrows of the Virgin Mary and to the infant Jesus of Prague for intercession for sick children ,we have witnessed many miracles and conversions of families. They recorded a cd with 9 songs composed by them and all that collect is to help a foundation for sick children in Colombia. You can see the web page http://www.rosariodelosninos.com
This Rosary has extended and now we are in Weston-Florida,Caracas Venezuela and in 7 parishes in Colombia.
I would promote this with all the parents of the kids we are reaching that are many to help protect their innocence that is danger in this times.
thank you

I would certainly keep one set for my family. We home church and it would be a good tool for our discussion time as a group. I would give several copies to friends of mine that are pastors or leaders in their church or youth group. I might consider giving one to our homeschool coop to use with the kids as a class for the high schoolers next year. I thought a great way to really reach someone is to give a set to someone that is not a Christian… but to determine who and how to find the right people is still something I would need to consider. I would not want to waste it… but I do know several women who are not Christians that have porn issues with their husbands. As far as that goes, I know of a friend that has that issue who is a Christian, so I would give one to her family. One other place that might be a good one is giving it to a group that leads men/women in groups dealing with porn issues. No matter what, they would not go unused!
As a newly hired DRE, I would appreciate these tools to prepare for catechesis. Thank you.
After going through the material myself, I would make it available to the rest of my parish. This is a major problem in our society nowadays. I’ll do my part to help eliminate this threat to our families.
Great stuff
I serve on you ministry staff at Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) in Concord, NH. If IHM were to receive this bundle, I would hope that we would be able to present a wonderful presentation to our community. This hidden sin of pornography has effected the marriages of many couples that I know. These are christian couples – both the wives and husbands who have suffered with addiction to pornography. I have had friends who have been very hurt knowing they can never compare to the images their eyes have observed or those their spouse has. This private sin may take place in private, but its pain is public – it kills marriages and breaks families.
This material would allow parents to come together to learn more about internet safety. We would be able to present materials for fathers & Sons as door prizes. Recently there was a well attended presentation on pornography held in our diocese (about 30 minutes from our city). There were several people who I personally know who were unable to attend. This would be a second chance and a wonderful incentive to invite people for another opportunity.
Immaculate Heart of Mary would be blessed to have the opportunity to serve our community with such truth. This would be my hope for how we would distribute the materials if we won them.
