I am the director of our church high school/college youth ministry that is part of our Catholic Church but wonderfully ecumenical. Our parish covers 4 churches in 4 towns, 2 schools and the smaller communities inbetween each church. These bundles will be a wonderful addition to our program on living out the Theology of the Body. I would prioritize our youth ministry and use the bundle to lesson plan safe internet and protecting the soul against one the greatest modern threats to salvation. In addition the book will complement the study group and we would actually read it together as a discussion group. Finally, the beautiful letter from Bishop Loverde will guide our resolution to turn to St. Joseph and protect our families. Since our youth group will not need all ten bundles, I want to share bundles with our 2 schools, our annual men’s retreat ministry (BWANA), and our coed adult Watch community. This will leave several bundles to be added to the church’s lending library so it is available parish-wide in each church for TPO events, parents groups, study groups, visitors and any member that would like to face the challenge.
We have four children, three sons and a daughter, and think your products are an excellent endeavor in an age that needs every help in purity. The pure of heart see God. :)
Thank you,
Julie and Stephen
I use in lifeteen too teach kids about it and too with the high school and my town too
Because the requirements to get my BA in early childhood, I am taking a Sex Health Education Class. According to the lectures everything is normal, as humans we all have swxual desires. However, I gave a presentation about Chastity and sexuality, a lot of people disagreed, but I have to stand for my values. The books wil be a great help to continue spreading chasrity among teenagers and their parents, there is a huge need of information, especially in the Hispanic community, and I am currently working wth them. Thank you.
I would keep one set to view and pass along to immediate family and friends. I would then donate the remaining nine to our Diocese of Raleigh so that the bundles would be available to each parish and school. In our overly sexualized society the church must remain a beacon of truth and understanding. Each parish and school could then hold their own Adult Education night to explain and reinforce the destructive nature of pornography and how we as parents can protect our families.
I would share these with my family & friends
Living the faith, is the focus of our family. Our two sons are fast approaching their teen years and I want to prepare ourselves with tools we need to help them through the struggles they will be facing. I also teach a 7th grade religious education class who would benefit from online guidance. Our parish serves our youth with the Edge and Life Teen programs and so many of our conversations with teens surround the internet and social media influences. Our community is a great place for these resources because it will be shared! Available for parents, core teams and religious education volunteers to help us all, raise generations of young people who make good choices and live their faith.
I am currently a youth leader for our chastity group in my local parish. We are currently in the process of organizing a couple of lectures to our youth and parents on pornography. This would be an awesome tool to utilize to help spread the moral and spiritual consequences of watching pornography.
I would be so excited and unbelievably blessed to win these! I am a youth leader at my parish and can see that many of the youth readily do not understand or appreciate the gift of chastity and how impurities really do mess with your mind. I work closely with my youth director and since finding the Pure Love books, I actually keep several copies in my purse to give to people. It’s important to me that people have an opportunity to understand the reason why they should be pure since society teaches us to do the opposite. You can rest assured that these would be used wisely. I think it would be nice if my parish offered a class over the contents of the set for parents and their children. Some could go into a raffle where a family could win a bundle. (Next week is our ministry fair which would be a perfect time.) Having a raffle makes it seem even more like the prize is something valuable and would definitely give a family more incentive to read something that seems like a touchy topic for most. It’s so important that we have resources like these available to people and I’m so happy to know we have authors like this in the world who are willing to tell it how it is!
I would give a bundle to my church for their library and one to our community library. I would keep one for our family and the remaining 7 would be dispersed among my son’s friends family plus one to a local child care provider I know.
